I love to travel, preferably without a backpack. A perfect day of travel includes museums, exploring new places on foot and ending the day with a nice place to stay.
I prefer a combination of activity (hiking, jogging, swimming) on vacation, relaxation (reading), and good meals. Small hotels are preferable to big chains and historical settings are ideal.
Traveling is my favorite hobby. I love to discover the hard to reach corners of the world.
While I am comfortable sleeping in a tent, I prefer to stay in boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts and other unique properties.
Enjoy travel. Dislike tourists...that's what living in DC forever can do to a person. Favor unique/small places to stay but not so small that the owners want to introduce their kids over breakfast. In cities, it's all about being able to step out the door...right into the city.
